The next generation of carrying capability
With load capacity increased from 210kg to 250kg, the new Longtail is designed not only for families, but for anyone looking to transport heavier or more varied loads with confidence. From school runs—capable of carrying up to three children or two bigger kids comfortably—to serious cargo hauling, it positions itself as one of the most capable and versatile e-cargo bikes available.
Estarli is also introducing two new ‘Family Pack Loaded’ options, bundling together some of the brand’s most popular accessories into more complete family-focused or utility-focused setups at even greater value (more information below).
Making family life easier
Alongside this step forward in capability, the new Longtail also introduces a new lower step frame, developed in response to customer feedback. The revised design makes getting on and off the bike easier—particularly when managing children, cargo or frequent stop-start journeys—while also delivering a more refined, contemporary look.
A number of usability improvements further enhance the experience. The gated family cage—designed to safely and securely carry children—is now included as standard within the Family Pack, while an improved bike stand delivers greater stability when loading and unloading.
Further family-focused enhancements include a new edge-to-edge display for improved visibility and interaction, alongside optional Dutch-style handlebars that deliver a more upright, relaxed riding position, which has already proved popular with parents.
The Longtail’s core drivetrain remains unchanged, with the proven Estarli Cycle Systems mid-drive motor and Enviolo gearing system continuing to deliver smooth, intuitive performance under load. The battery is 600wh but the flexibility is also retained, as customers can also opt for the long-range version on a massive 820Wh, offering even greater range for longer journeys or heavier use.
Expanding far beyond the school run
Estarli is also placing greater emphasis on the Longtail’s capability as a serious everyday cargo haulier. New full-length collapsible pannier bags provide substantial additional storage for shopping, commuting and general transport duties, while an upcoming Utility Basket accessory—designed to integrate within the family cage—will allow riders to quickly convert the bike for heavier-duty cargo use when the school run is done. With a harness point, it also doubles as a great pet carrier.
The approach reflects how many customers are already using the Longtail: as both a family vehicle and a practical replacement for day-to-day car journeys.
Refined through real-world use
A series of smaller but significant refinements have also been introduced following extensive real-world testing and rider feedback. A new front fork now offers ring-lock compatibility for riders wanting quick, convenient security during shorter stops and shopping trips, while also improving ride comfort and smoothness.
Additional upgrades include more durable and integrated mudguard stays, a redesigned rear mudguard, a new bell, gloss paintwork, and an improved battery layout for faster swaps and easier maintenance.
Estarli has also introduced a new freewheel and sprocket on the Enviolo hub to further improve gearing response and riding efficiency.
Security & peace of mind
Security itself remains a key focus. Estarli Cycle Security—an optional 360-degree protection package including GPS tracking and recovery or replacement support—provides added peace of mind, particularly for riders relying on their bike for daily transport or higher-value cargo use.

We’ve taken every piece of feedback seriously. The outcome is a Longtail that’s far more accessible, more versatile, and yet still at an incredible price”
Despite the significant upgrades, Estarli has maintained its commitment to value, with base Build Pricing remaining unchanged—continuing to position the Longtail as one of the most compelling e-cargo bikes available.
